Clark Machine was contacted by a Virginia construction customer to repair a very large wheel loader bucket. A degree of reverse engineering and custom design work was needed to completely recreate the damaged bucket.
Customer specifications combined with CAD-based editing were used to complete the reverse engineering phase and provided a robust design. Fabrication utilized plasma cutting via a CNC-based cutting table, hand grinding, and varied welding techniques. Exclusive Hardox wear plate, as well as Esco teeth and fittings, formed the materials of the spill guard. Certified weld inspections and dimensional validation were used to check construction of the design. The entire part measured 149″ long by 48″ tall.
The customer was delivered a smartly engineered product that served their needs. Clark Machine’s access to advanced materials and processes lent a superior advantage for providing a comprehensive solution. These same benefits are core to business at Clark and are available today.
